Tracy K. Muyonga's Story

Breaking Free from the Slum

Education as Escape and Empowerment

Tracy K. Muyonga grew up in one of Nairobi's slums, where poverty, limited opportunities, and systemic barriers made education beyond secondary school seem like an impossible dream. Her family couldn't afford college tuition, and like hundreds of thousands of qualified Kenyan students each year, Tracy faced a future with limited prospects despite her academic achievements.

Everything changed when she received a scholarship from the Brothers.

The scholarship provided more than financial support β€” it provided dignity, opportunity, and a chance to pursue her passion for mathematics and education.
